Radhi! Radhi!

Radhika, a friend of mine from Singapore, is now here in Delhi. She was born here but have since lived in Singapore for about 10 years now and is back most summers to immerse herself in her Motherland.

It was a lovely day spent with her. We caught up over lunch, had Indian version of Chinese food, visited Dilli Haat (a tourist attraction if i may call it that), had her hair braided just to show me how it's done, put her bargaining skills to the test at Sarojini Nagar market, and filled each other in with more stories in between! Multi-tasking at it's best!

She was the BEST tour guide. I asked "So what does Haat mean?" She says "Ahhh... (breaks out into laughter)... I don't know!"

Above: Radhi happy with her Chowmein and Chicken Manchurian; Why we having Chinese, again?

Above: Look at 160 please; Radhi with an old school jukebox!

Above: Dilli Haat sells all sorts of Indian hand-painted/embroidered handicrafts and knick-knacks. All sorts of things from mats, umbrellas, bags, bracelets, lamps, keychains, and just about everything else!

Above: Radhi braiding her hair. It's basically taking a few strands of your hair and wrapping it tightly with a thick thread of any colour you like!

HAHAHAHA your post me laugh out loud in the morning which put my early morning aggravator at a loss of words. THANK YOU

In my defense: Haat means 'mela' which means like a carnival but commercial in nature.
So an area where people came together to sell whatever they made and buy whatever they needed.

loved being featured on your blog, and I can anticipate more posts about me. WOOOO ;)

Haha! For making my day (or even week), you surely can expect to be featured more in the days to come! <3

Thanks for the clarification on what "haat" means!

So nice to see you in a new blog again! Live in India must be so different compared with Singapore...or compared to any other country on earth! You are a tough cookie my dear!

Look forward to see more stories of Incredible India!

Ans, check out my second entry. There's a video on where i live. It's in a semi-slum area and it's pretty amazing how different it is from what we're used to!

And i can always depend on you to support my efforts of having a blog! ;)
